Good to buy scope base and ring

Hello, so I'm waiting for my rifle to come in (700 SPS Tactical) in about two weeks, but I've already received my scope (Falcon Menace 4-14). Now my problem is finding a base and rings for it. I'd like to get some fairly good quality stuff, but the problem is

a) finding a place that has some in stock.

b) finding a place that is also knowledgeable.

I want to make sure I buy something compatible with the rifle (700 short action) but also compatible base-rings. I'd rather buy local or from a place that actually has them in stock (rather than waiting a long time for special order).

Do you have any suggestions? I went to Le Baron (I know, stupid idea) and all they had were cheap rings and the constant impression they didn't know anything about scope mounting...

Anyway, I'd appreciate any input.

Since your profile doesn't tell use where you live it will be hard to give you references to stores and gunsmiths. Concider adding that info to your profile under "location".
 
Oops, sorry about that. I live in Ottawa. And another thing I didn't mention was that I will be doing long distance shooting so I'd like a 20 MOA base...
 
### International carries TPS rings and bases. They're not located in your part of the country but they should have products on stock. I purchased a TPS base and rings from them and the product was top quality. Shipping was was as well.
 
as mentioned Cyberk *allengunworks* carrys what you are looking for. i currently have a stevens 200/savage110 custom long range rifle sporting the menace 4-14ffp it is sitting in tps rings and egw 25moa base and quite like the set up except i need to raise my cheek peice almost an inch to get a proper weld. also jason at gunco in ottawa can get just about whatever you need and is an excelent guy to deal with.

X2 on TPS Rings and bases, plus they are a great price too, if that is a concern.
