Good used gun/scope combo? Ruger 10 HS Precision & Hawke Sidewinder

I mostly spend my time over in shotguns and bpcr but looking to get a scoped rifle for target use out to 700 or so. Found a Savage 10 HS Precision in 308 at the local cabelas used with a hawke sidewinder scope with the sidewheel and sunshade. Advertised at $1550. Gun is in very good cond as is the scope, 6-24x50.

Anyone have any experience with the scope? I know the rifle is pretty good but not sure on the scope.
