Hey,
I want to buy a good inexpensive varmint rifle (.223, .243,etc) i'm not planning on doing competion shooting or anything just to shoot at yotes...
What should i get and where should i get it from.... It can be a bolt action, semi, hinge, whatever works or even used...

Cheers,
Ray

Savage Predator I would say is a good way to go if price is an issue, depending on what you have to spend. Can't beat 22-250 for coyotes, but .223 works fine too.
Check Ellwood Epps for availability.

Edit: I checked Epps and they only have the expensive winter camo versions of the Predator now and they're $800!

They do have a used Tikka T3 in .223 for $499 though...

Savage or a Stevens will be your best shooters for the money most of the time. You can get the Savages starting at just over $500 for a blued sporter barrel with a wood stock and you can get the Stevens 200 for around $300 with a blued sporter barrel and synthetic stock. You can spend alot more on a "better" prettier gun but its unlikley it will shoot much better. Check out my post on the "New Savage is a shooter" and you'll see what I mean. The three guys I hunt with all have Savages and their guns shoot around the same. I just ordered my son the Stevens 200 in .22-250 becuase his buddy has one and it shoots under 3/4" @ yrds with cheap ammo and a $100 scope. The Remington 700's sps are decent aswell but I've yet to see one out shot the Savage line right out of the box.

Good Shootin'
