Goose hunting in Ottawa area

I've been going to the same field in Vars for over five years now. Thought to try somewhere else. Any pointers, ideas?

Goose hunting along the St. Lawrence from Long Sault to Morrisburg is world class...but securing the property to hunt on is really tough...all the outfitters have it rented. If you have a boat, there are some sites along the Long Sault parkway that you can usually get in on ( limited no. of spots 1st come)

Find where birds are roosting in the evening. Get there for first light and follow them to where they feed in fields. Thats the easiest way to scout them.

The boat I have looks more like a cheesecake and can be spotted from a mile away.
I have spoken to a few farmers in the area and they all say no trouble wanted with guns and decline politely.
