Deaner and I wandered off to the Ogema area to a good friend's farm, where he raises gophers on a contract basis for me. No money changes hands, as I let him have the crops and cattle that he grows. Good of me, eh?
Down to business. There aren't all that many gophers around there, but we toasted a fair few. We shot from about 10 am until 1:00, then from 4:30 until about 7:30. We used .22's, 17HMR's, 12 & 20 guage, and I used my 455 22 mag. Boy! Does that .22 mag round ever mess up gophers!
It was a good day, a bit windy, but the flies were no problem. Once the wind died down in the evening we were shooting some nice long shots with our .17's. Deaner has a 452 Varmint barrel. I missed a few intentionally so Dean didn't feel bad...
Sorry, no pics, so it didn't happen!
