My wife, daughter and myself are going out tomorrow morning to find some gopher to shoot...we each have a 10/22 and we will be carrying a 22-250 for longe range rifle practice for my my daughter (she just passed her Hunter Safety a few weeks ago)...

Are there any CGNr's who can give some direction other than south of Swift Current...? or land owners who have some gophers close to Regina for us to shoot...

Don't bother returning without some prime pelts and pics. Pics any way because there shouldn't be any pelt left.:D
 
Well...I heard from a friend that the earth was crawling with gophers north of Vibank...all I can say is that we saw 1 gopher and the daughter killed it...are they having babies?, wrong time of day?

I toured and walked and no fresh mounds, one whistle here and there but nothing like I expected...

So we did not get to Grenfell...but I am saddened that I saw more Whitetail and Mule deer than gophers...

Any assistance would be great...

Same thing here

Same deal. Went down to St. Paul area this weekend since it was my boys 8th birthday and went for his first gopher shoot. He only was able to get 1. I don't know what the issue was but we couldn't find hardly any even though we were in fields I knew had them in the past.
