Fellow CGN'ers,


I am located up in Whitecourt, Alberta. We don't have any gopher population up here and was wondering if anybody in the area knows of a place a guy could drive to for the day and go have some fun. If you know of anyplace, directions, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hear Onoway is a good place to start around here. Any other advice please PM me.

Gibbons is about 2 hours from here. I might have to check it out one weekend. Did you have an area you went to or was there an old Farmer up there that let you use his land?

It's mostly a question of driving around 'til you spot a pasture full, then check with the farmer for permission. County/RM maps are good have. Gibbons is in Sturgeon County. Up in that area I've had farmers bring out a cold beer in the evening and even offer to buy ammo as an expression of gratitude.:)
 
Well that settles it I guess I will check up that way. I would still like to find some places a bit closer to home if any of you CGN'ers out there know where they may be roaming. Thanks again Purple
