I went out on Saturday on my father-in-law's land. He's just 20 minutes south of Lethbridge. I got 97 before the snow came back.
Used my new Remington Model 5 [made by Zastava Arms in Serbia]. It's was very accurate. Just wish I could either get a second magazine or a bigger magazine. 5 shot mag was okay, but kind of a pain.

Believe it or not, I saw a couple standing on the snow last Saturday here in Cold Lake. They have gone back down, snowing like crazy today. I'm jelous of you HG....Ken

Last year we cleaned up a 1/4 section pretty good. Owner saw 2 in the field next to one of his steel posts (with a couple of tires around it) last week. They are coming, but not fast enough. These guys in Lethbridge are killing me being able to be shooting already.

I harvested my first (and probably only) Sask gopher last Wednesday. East of Maple Creek on the Trans-Canada highway.
I had to use a 28,000,000 grain F-150 Inproved to do it though.

I'm green with envy!! Here, there is still so much snow that a gopher would have to dig through 3 feet of the stuff just to get to the surface. Darn, what a winter we had! Guess a trip to Alberta is going to have to happen.....*sigh* lol Eagleye.

Don't be too envious boys. Snowing today, looks like snow for a few days here in Lethbridge :( I couldn't get out last weekend and my CZ is dying to be used

I haven't personally seen any here in Wainwright, but a few folks tell me they whacked a few over the weekend. Still pretty slow yet. 36 grains of Varget and a 55 gr VMAX patiently await.
