Gophers!! In November!!??

Went deer hunting on Nov 26th north of Swift Current, in the Matador pasture. In the heat of the sun, a little after lunchtime, we stopped and shoot GOPHERS!! Yup, using our deer rifles, well, a pair of 308's and a 300 RUM. It was a hoot! The 300 RUM sure toss'd 'em in the air. Never thought I'd see gophers in late November but wtf, if they are out, do 'em!

Fellow CGN'r Brutus and I were going to the range here in Cold Lake two weeks ago and the gophers were running around near the back gate of the base, too bad we couldn't shoot them.

My partner and I started shooting gophers in 2005 in the month of feb. Thats the earliest we've shot them. Sure wish the season would last till Nov-----WoW----Cowboy
