Gophers?

I'm heading to Alberta next week starting in the south west and working my way north of Edmonton/Grand Praire then back to BC thru Dawson Creek Prince George...

In other words I will be prospecting and shooting gophers for at least a month...

If anyone here has any thoughts/advise or that want to meet up for a gopher shoot let me know...

I'm trying to be in the Lethbridge area by May 5/6, Red Deer May 11/13 and the Edmonton area May 14 to 23/24 then GP till the end of the month...

get your gophers before you get to grande prairie. there are very very few there. doubt you'll even see one.

There should be lots of gophers in the southern half of the province. I got a non-typical gopher yesterday. First 3 legged gopher we have ever seen, his front leg was only a 3/4 inch stub. It looked like the limb was shot off last summer.

anyone ever see any groundhogs with mange? I shot 22 groundhogs today and 3 of them had big patches of hair missing on their backs. One was really bad had more bare spots then hair. I rammed thoughs suckers down their holes as far as possble, hopefully nothing can dig it up

Once you get a bit north of the Athabasca River, gophers are rare. the Athabasca runs thru Whitecourt Ab,

I cant see g.p. having many gophers. Peace River sure didn't have any when I lived there.
