Well, My 700VSF finally shed it's first blood. On Thursday I shot some gophers with it. I think the furthest I connected with was about 150 yards, but I'm severely out of practice and still trying to get used to that bolt... Will my extractor loosen up with use, such that I don't have to hammer down on the bolt to get it closed?

All things aside, it should loosen up a little over time. It's about time you broke it in! I've had my Winchester Model 70 LW in .223 out a fair bit.....she' broke in good...... Got me a load worked up with 50 gr Sierra TNT Hollow Points doing just over 3000FPS. Best 5 rd group at 100M was .39". they regularly shoot under 1/2 MOA.....gotta love it!
