Always wanted one and figured better get one now before the door gets slammed shut with all this ban talk. Will use it this summer for my bulls-eye league and hope it's a good shooter.Probably will only use .44 specials with a few mag loads for just a try. When the wife finds out I'll have to live in the garage for a while but it's worth it.:slap::runaway:

Did you get the 6.5 inch barrel Dirty Harry classic? That or the 6" stainless with combat grips is what I want, but deep down its the DH one I think.

Where did you order it from? I'm considering a model 29 for my 10th handgun (milestone) . Cost?

Thanks, this may make up my mind.

A few years back at the SHOT SHOW, at the NRA booth, they showcased "Dirty Harry's" famous S&W model 29 revolver.
They had his badge & ID card there too. A truly fabulous display. Posting pics here is above my pay grade but if you PM me with your email I'll send you a pic.

.44 mag & .44 special are inherenty accurate cartridges. And you don't have to use 240 or 250's either. .44 works great with 200 grain cast bullets.

Got the Dirty Harry 6.5 Classic .Have a 6 inch 629 in stainless, ported from the factory, with a Leopold 3x9 scope on it now.Used it to hunt deer in Michigan a few years back. But always wanted a blued wheel gun.

I ordered from Wolverine because my local guy here couldn't get a line on one. There is another one at Reliable Gun last time I checked. They are all around $1500 if you can find one.
