:D I've been contemplating a new rimfire for quite a while now. Mostly I was leaning toward the Remington VTR, but a friend had no end of trouble with his 597 so I was a little hesitant about it. The SR-22 really interested me, but the price was a little high for my budget.
That all changed this weekend. I made a few calls checking prices at my local shops, and when I found out Jo-Brook Firearms had SR-22's for $499, I couldn't resist any longer:cool:. Picked one up this afternoon, along with a spare 10 rd mag, and a 25 rd Butler Creek mag. Over 200 rounds through it today, the factory mags work flawlessly so far. Not impressed with the Butler Creek mag yet. Had one round misfeed and cause a jam, but if I put more than 20 rds in the mag it jams solid and won't feed at all. Hopefully this will smooth out with a bit of use.
Accuracy was great considering I wasn't shooting from a bench. Once I had it sighted in I put 10 shots into about an inch at 50 yards, from a prone position.
Very happy with it so far :ar15:
