Got another coyote

Might be a dumb question, but what do you guys do when you kill them. Never hunted coyotes before

In Saskatchewan there is a great number of coyotes. they were real bad around my house three years ago and most of them had mange (dog scabies.coyote looses it hair and eventually dies a horrible death). At that time I would shoot them all year round and drag them to the nearest bush. Now the coyotes around here are actually quite healthy so now we wait until November and we bring any that we kill over to our neighbour to skin out. A nice coyote will fetch $100 once it is skinned and fleshed out. We have shot 6 this year already.

Same here in Manitoba, the population was so high it was very common to shoot a coyote with mange a few years ago, which meant their pelts had no value. These coyotes were left for the ravens to cleanup ( do not feel sorry for them it is better than freezing to death! ) in Manitoba coyotes are fur bearers and most are taken under the authority of a trappers license which requires that there be a reasonable effort to prevent the wasting of any animals harvested.
