I finished a 9 day hunt, guiding two hunters in the remote area 1.5 hr flight NE of Ft. McMurray.....managed to call in a 50" bull to 19 yards where he met his demise to my hunter's 7mm (should have had a spear eh)

Anyways, I called in a 55"-60" the next day to about 35yds for the other hunter and he had a 65" Alaskan already on his wall and wanted to do better so he turned down the shot, and still went home a very happy hunter....It was refreshing to meet two guys that got along and were able to stick to their goal, even when faced with a rut-crazed bull at 35 yds in the 60" range......

We got some snow on the 27th of September but it dissipated as fast as it fell. All in all, it was one of the best guiding stints I have ever been involved with.

Just an update because some were wondering why I wasnt adding my 2 cents worth on some of the topics over the past 2 weeks. I was in the bush.

 Thanks Paul, I'd have to agree. She thought I was going to mount my 37 inch bull that I got a couple years ago.... I just laughed.
Trouble is where do you put the thing. I don't think she has any idea how much room a bull can take up. I don't care though, it will give my city slicker house more of a hunting lodge appeal. 8)

The photo is of me with my client's moose and my .444 Marlin. I have some nicer pictures without me in them but I want to get his permission to post them first.

Here we go kids!
Randy, she's your story, I let you fill in the details.

He had 11 points on one side and 10 on the other.....just barely over 50"......I called for about an hour and a half and no call back......just at dawn, he broke out of the bush next to us at about 30yds. He must have just laid there and waited. He was really geared up and was grunting right up till the time the client shot him. He gave a broadside shot at 19yds when I told Joe to "take him". It was his first moose and we are doing a head mount.

Overall, the calling went really well. Lots of responses. No paddlers. Every moose was a real shooter. These two clients were real gentlemen.
