Got bored today, made a FAKE CZ 858 suppressor.

Bored today so I decided to make this for my CZ. Its way to heavy but its just a proto type. Im thinking of making a new design that will minimize alot of the weight but still be the same size. Anyways heres the ugly thing. Its a work-in-progress.

You shoukd move your front sight post back towards the gas block, and have the fake can go over the barrel.

Yep its threaded. Didnt turn out the greatest as it was a little off sideways. My next one will be better.

Ya I was thinking about that. I think I might make one tommorow that is along the lines of that. See what it turns out like.

How difficult is that to do? Is the barrel profile behind the front sight the same as the area where the front sight is mounted? I always though the 858's would look better with the front sight mounted farther back...

My opinion follows the same posted. Depin and slide the front post back and try and figure out how to have the can screw on but shroud most of the barrel.
What is the thread size again? You just used the small muzzle piece that comes with the rifle right?

Purely academic thoughts...

I would use a bayonet and weld a main plate on it which would hold a short eccentric can of larger diameter with most of it under the sight line.
It could be in two parts, one like a ported tube screwing on the barrel and the rest of the container sliding on it and latching on the bayonet lug.
Of course, this would be for a real one...
Now, if this great country of ours could do as the Finns and Swedes do, the shooting ranges would become quieter...
