I've been wanting one of these for a long time and I finally got one. It's a ruger blackhawck convertible 45colt/45ACP. It's my first wheel gun and it's fun to shoot. I think I might upgrade the grips to wood or ivory but the factory ones are comfortable. All I need now is some RCBS carbide dies and I'm good to go. Anybody know has some?

I think I might need another in stainless

We'll be waiting for a range report, please.:)

HAHA the pic was taken at the range. I went strait from the store to my house ran some patches threw it and checked it over and then strait to the range. But I forgot a small screw driver to adjust the sights. The 45ACP was grouping good on the paper but the 45colt were hitting about 4" high and to the left. @ 15-20 yards. I managed to hit a few clays @ 75 yards just for fun. I plan on going back today.

How did you get your LTATT so fast?

Are you serious?

In BC you need a LTATT before you can even get a STATT. And since I've had a LTATT for almost the past 4 years I didn't have to wait long.

I hope the Internet police are satisfied

In alberta, I can go pretty much from the store to the range (legally i go home first).

The STATT is the "bring home paperwork" and since in alberta they auto add your new restricted to your LTATT you can head right to the range (after you get home ;) ;) ).

But I am sure R106 did something similar ;D

We have the very same revolver. But you will need to get rid of those uncomfortable cheese grate grips.

I actually don't mind the feel of them. I just don't like the look of them. But this is my first wheelgun so maybe I haven't seen the light yet :D I'm thinking a medium- dark walnut or Ivory.

I have one of the Ruger Blackhawk 45acp/45lc convertables too and I like it alot. Its the 4 5/8 barrelled version. The trigger is awesome and its very very accurate with both 45acp and 45lc. Really easy to shoot accurately too. Here's a 25 yard target shot offhand with 255grn Keith bullets (45lc) from Ben Hunchak. Shooting from a rest it will put them on top of each other. Just a great shooting iron!

That is some good shooting super7...I have a Uberti Cattleman 5 1/2 inch barrel .45 Colt and can only dream of groups like that.
Just curious are you shooting flat point bullets???
