Well I received my viking MP-446 yesterday. Bought it new from the EE from a great seller. I was really excited when I opened it up and seen it in person as it looks better than I in pics and feels really good, the grip is just right for me and the pistol feels lightweight.

I stripped it down and was shocked by the barrel/chamber area. I know this pistol was designed for +P+ and the russion +P++ armour piercing but wow is it solid, makes my S&W 9mm look like a 22 in comparison. The mags load real easy I don`t remember ever having a brand new handgun and being able to load the mags this easy. The polymer body is good quality and feels different than others and the finish on the barrel is unique to me also. The sights are typical 3 dot arrangement. The gun has a live round indicator also and ambi safety. The mags drop free also.

Well off to the range today, and since it`s been 10 years I started at 15 yard mark and lined up on a metal target and bang the target went flying and a piece of lead also hit me in the forhead:rolleyes: so enough of that back to the 25 yard mark. The ammo I was using is old S and B boxer primed 9mm non corrosive cz ammo. I had one fail to fire and a few I had to rack in. I blame that on my 15 plus year old ammo not the gun as I had same problem with my S&W years ago also. I am gonna really love this gun when it`s fully broken in.
Now I just hope I can shoot as well as I did years ago, was just like starting all over, 50 rounds today. It`s a start. Just thought I would do a little write up as I was interested in these pistols and not alot of info out there on these.

Any of the Vikings come in a steel frame as per Russian Army?
AFAIK, the Russians don't export current .mil models, the Viking is an export model.

I shot a CGNers a couple of weeks ago, and bought one later that evening. Got it last week but with the snow, no chance to try it yet. Quite an amazeing deal on these guns, if they were allowed into the US I'm sure we'd know more about them, think more of them, and pay more for them.

I really like the trigger reset (very short and crisp). And that breech, it's HUGE! I've never seen anything like it on a 9mm handgun, I believe the ++P++ stories.

Also, one of my mags didn't match the serial of the gun, if someone else has a mismatched mag, let me know, maybe we can sort them out? ;)

Can you answer a couple of questions for me?
1) Does a dealer in Canada sell them?
2) What would they cost-roughly?
3) Do they fit a person with small/average-sized hands?

Great photos!

Yes you do. Someone sell him some damn mags! I'm tired of hearing him ask!

Did I forget to say I need more mags today? Well imagine I needed bigger parts? I'd be screwed. But there is a shorter police version available aswell. Its a pistol I am glad I got on the bandwagon for, because now Armrus is gone alot of cool guns are gone and the ones that arent we are getting charged way too much. Even if Baikal Canada had them sure the price would be crap like the semi-shotguns they sell.

keep checking the EE thats where I got mine, brand new. I also would like more mags so maybe baikalcanada will supply in future?

Hey, I've shot some home loaded ammo through this gun(125gr lead+2.8grs of Clay's) and it was amazing! Felt like i was shooting .22lr(dangertree knows:)
This gun is just cool!

Just got back from the range tonight my second time and the viking performed excellent. I had no FTF ot FTE. I guess my first time I was limp wristing as tonight I was carefull to grip good and gun performed brilliant and is super accurate too, I would love to see what a real shooter could do with it.
