Got my XCR, pic and first impressions!

Won't be touching it other than pulling the trigger over and over again... :D

hahaha sweet. for mine having the 1 gen trigger, i am quite happy with it. mine must have been made by god or something. it is an older rifle, with a great trigger, does not have the flash hider welded on, new gas block. i am a happy man!

Does anyone else find the flash hider makes the shots extremely loud?

Can it be removed or does this make the barrel to short?

If the barrel is to short without the flash hider can it be replaced with something else like an extension without holes in it?

the flash hider has nothing to do with barrel length. it is not considered the barrel, and therefore not measured as such. if your flash hider is welded, you have to grind the weld off, and then there is a pin inside the hole you have to take out. if yours has nothing then just unscrew it and put another on. it takes the same thread pattern as an ar-15/ m-16.
