22" barrel is plenty on a 338/06 and the 225 accubond@2650-2700fps would be a great load.No real need for a premium like the X or swift at those velosities unless you simply want to use one.The hornady, speer etc work great in that velosity range.The 225gr hornady s.p is one of the best in the 338/06
 
I'm waiting for my 338-06AI (with 24" #5 fluted barrel) from Corlanes-should be done by end of the month (I hope) and I'm going to try both the 225gr Accubonds and the 225gr TTSX then see what performs the best. I personally am getting great performance with 180gr Accubonds in my 300WM and 140gr Accubonds in my 270WSM's, so I traded off the same bullets in TSX's for more Accubonds.
