Got tired of the long barrel on my CZ858

The gun just didn't look right with that extra long barrel to make it nonrestricted . But didn't want a restricted one . My solution remove the front sight , strip the receaver & put it in a lathe & turn down the barrel to move the sight back . Had a dummy muzzel brake made to slide over the barrel & thread on at the end . Now looks like a short barreled VZ58 w/muzzel brake but still nonrestricted .

Not bad, I may have to try that. I'm tempted to move the sight right back to the gas block and make a fake suppressor. Right now with the long barrel and AK74 brake, I might add a bipod and go with an RPK type look.

Any closer pictures of the muzzle brake?

Just some cheesy flat black paint on the brake right now will be better when completed

The brake is stainless with a bad flat black paint job . will be better when finished

Very neat, at first I thought that you re-treaded to tantal style (threads just in front of FSB, followed by a skinny bbl afterwards). Clever thinking.

done ! Sight is re pinned to barrel. End of barrel & the fake brake have been finished to match the rest . The lighting in the pictures is not the best . The finish looks much better than in the pic's . & If you are looking for a exact match to the color go to a Cummins dealer or HD truck dealership & get a can of Cummins BLUKE spray paint . It's a perfect match
