Got Your Six match, teams, amd practicing

Not sure if this is appropriate for this sub forum but I didn't see a thread about it on CGN. The Got Your Six charity match is coming up in July and I believe registration is this month.

It's a team event and I need a partner. I don't know how closely teams work together or if they just basically take turns shooting. Anyways I live in the Leduc area and I'm not the best at long range but I really enjoy it. I shoot .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor and use mil/mil.

If anyone else needs a partner or wants someone to practice with post here.

I shot the match last year and it was a blast. The proceeds go to a well deserved cause. It was an individual event last year. This year a team event and should be a great time as well. The pig roast after the first day was outstanding.
 
I have Monday off and will be travelling to Edson to pick up a 2017 range membership and do a little practice if anyone is interested.

I'm also looking for a partner for the match, shooting 6.5 CM and MIL/MIL optics

So then, come on out....make many new friends and have fun too. This is not the type of event where winning is important; being there and participating is the truly big thing.

PS. The pig roast alone will make the trip worth it. :cool: You have my word on that!

I know the people that do this, I would be very surprised if you can't find someone to "have your six". If not....I'll do it myself. (Hope you can stand an old guy. "I don't run, I don't jump, I don't crawl anymore; but old age and experience will eat your lunch.")

Well thank you for the offer.

I don't know exactly how the teams/partners work. I wasn't sure if it was sort of like a relay or if you worked more closely and spotted for each other in which case it would help to know the person.

The stages are going to be a mix, but most will feature both partners shooting. Others will have your partner spotting or helping in another manner.
 
Didn't know it was a team event so I'm looking for a buddy, too!. At any rate there seems to be lots of people interested in practice. I can't go this weekend but we should maybe use this thread to organize meet ups, in Edmonton, at Genesee, or carpooling to Edson. Thoughts?
