Shot skeet today in full daylight for the first time. I dont know if its just that i'm used to shooting in lower light but damn didnt i mess up bad. Actually all the guys i shoot with (new like me) shot like crap. I was trying to force myself to do what i was supposed to but i found as the day went on i was lifting my head worse and worse. Does anybody else find it much differnt between shooing day or night?

There is a huge difference between shooting in daylight and at night. The night lighting can easily play tricks on you when you are trying to get a lead on the clays. I have shot trap and skeet many times at night and it definately is different, even if you don't notice it.

I find a real difference between sunlight and shooting at night under the lights. I prefer sunlight. The worst time however is in the failing light around dusk. The targets are much harder to see for my aging eyes.

Try envisioning a long ribbon running behind your neck with each end running down the front of you. Now imagine each loose end of the ribbon has a giant, sharp fish hook on the end of it, and that these hooks are poised on the taught length of ribbon to penetrate your crotch IF YOU DARE TO LIFT YOUR HEAD ! Generally, once envisioning this, most guys just naturally start to keep the wooden head glued to the wooden stock ! HA !
