Hello all. I was just sitting down to diagnose some rough cycling of my maverick 88 that just recently started, and when I stripped it I noticed two gouges in the ceiling of the receiver that are new since the last time I had it apart. They are quite rough to the touch and I suspect this is what is causing my rough cycling. I can smooth them out myself, I'm just wondering if anyone has had this happen on their shotgun before or if anyone has any idea as to what may have caused it in the first place. It started in the middle of a skeet session with my family, and was being fed Winchester 100 count value packs or the federal equivalent, so nothing crazy or exotic. Thanks in advance!
