My GP100 came with a small dia brass colored pin approx 2mm long in a plastic bag folded into the instruction manual. Can't find mention of it in the instruction manual. What is it for?

Thanks,

M

Its used to strip the pistol. Once the grip is removed there is hole the pin fits into which is part of the process to remove the hammer and trigger assembly.

Pin fits in hole at base of mainspring to keep spring under tension. Allows for entire trigger spring assembly to come out, and hammer removal..A finishing nail does the sale thing, as does a paper clip, etc.

OK.... Thanks. "The Dissassebly Pin".

Steps 2 and 3, on page 18.

In step 2 remove the grip "take care not to loose the dissassebly pin"?

Does step 2 imply there is one hiding in the grip waiting to fall out and the bagged one is a spare?

In the original grips there was a small groove cut in which the pin resided. With the new style grips I dont know if they still have that little cutout but it sounds like that may be the case.
