Would appreciate opinions or advice about Gracoil Butt Plates. I am considering buying their compression butt plate (Model #GC15S) for my Citori. It's quite pricey, but gives adjustments laterally and vertically as well as some recoil reduction (I assume) through tension adjustment. The other adjustable butt plate I bought (Morgan) broke. Not sure how, maybe overtightening. At any rate I want to adjust cast off about 3/16 inches and drop of the pad about 1/2 inch. So, I thought it might be worth it to stretch a bit. I have a Griggs pad on my BT-99 that I really like, but haven't found any information about them. Thanks in advance for comments or advice. Fred

I had one on an old Beretta.

The Graco butt plate has an add-on accessory that fits inside the adjustment tube for recoil reduction.... the unit is very well made.

info from the Graco site:

"Will adjust in or out 1 1/8" for length of pull, and the pad plate will move up or down 1 1/2".
Pad rotation can be changed up to 360 degrees, toe in or toe out, to any comfortable position.
A positive locking system will hold the adjustment in place without slipping. When unit is closed it will add 9/16" to stock length.
Models:

The Standard Butt Plate unit is for pump action and break open shotguns, and designed to hold a BreakO Recoil Reduction Unit, which is an option.
The Auto Butt Plate unit is for semi-automatic shotguns with a long action spring tubes (Remington 1100,11-87 and Beretta 303)

(*Pictured Recoil Reducer not included, however is available for purchase. See Related Products.)"
