Graduated reticle for .308?

I was looking at the Burris MTAC with ballistic reticle for an AR, but they have 7.62 reticle as well. Be interesting to try it, just have to keep your loads consistant or learn the minute differences that might occur.
I really like the idea of doing all your elevation with the reticle, but I've never tried it. Scroll down to the 1.5x6.40mm, 2nd scope down.

Trijicon TA11E ACOG calibrated for .308 out to 800m. BDC compensated with no adjusting.
If you have every shot with an ACOG mounted on top of an M14 you would never recomend this to anyone.
Is this a great cheek weld???
Or how about this for eye relief? Never mind cheek weld anyone???

Actually it performs VERY well on my M1A. The TA11E ( not the TA31 you pictured) matched with Trijicons TA70 ( designed for M1A, M14 ) gives very good eye relief and results. If it was not a good match they would not offer it. You may want to try it sometime yourself ! It is designed and tested by Trijicon and used extensively by the US Military..............I'm sure their combined experiences are a touch better than yours. Thousands of military service men have proven it.

Shooterman:-Not my rifle, I work for a living and can't afford a Trijicon 
- Was just an example of the high axis of the TA11E ACOG, although I guess they are not much different from other optic heights. How do you find yours? I certainly would love to try one.

I tried putting my TA31F on my M14 just for the heck of it. With the ARMS18 mount the standard Trijicon TA51 mount was preventing ejection of the cartridges after firing. They got mangled up pretty bad inside the action. I think this is why you're seeing some higher mounts with the TA11. That said, there must be something that can be done about lowering that mount. ARMS does have some other options, but I haven't the spare cash to tinker with them.I think with an ARMS 18 mount the cheek weld for an ACOG would be perfect. That's my dream set up! Can't afford the acog though

I put a cheek pad on the stock and is fine, quick sighting when rifle is raised and very good eye relief with that mount. I also tried the ARMS18 and TA51 mount but it hindered shell ejection. With the TA70 mount, the TA51 is not needed thus reducing height ( TA11E mounts directly on pre drilled mounting holes) and rail extends back to the rear sight. I just put 100 rds through it yesterday and worked perfectly. If the picture showed the whole rifle you would see its height is in line with others I was going to try the CASM mount but height was the same and I didn't want to disassemble the rear sight and mounting was not as secure. The ACOG speaks for itself.
