Gramps shed find

Have a storage semi trailer. Stuff buried 6+ years. Gone from a moose hunter to a lilliputian blacktail hunter....actually pretty indifferent....passed on hundreds of two and three point mulies that are giant to these dwarfs.

Sometimes it's hard justifying my obsessions.....so I've given up worrying about that.

^^Good thinking. If someone has a fit over what you do or collect, they're the ones who lose sleep.

If I die anytime soon there will a be lot more.
I can already picturing my wife complaining about all this stuff in the basement and over 1000lbs of lead to haul out of the garage lol.

I repair furnaces and A/C's for a living and you wouldn't believe how many times I go to a home and fix their furnace and the wife is beside herself trying to figure out what to do with all his "crap" in the garage just after her husband has passed. Sometimes it follows me home and adds to my "crap" in the garage.

Used lots of those paper 12 gauge shells when I was a kid, 2.00 a box if I remember correct and dad would buy on sale sometimes as low as 1.50 a box.

Neat finds, I have never seen a primer with images on them.

Notice that the primer is all of a piece rather than the usual primer/battery cup style.
I still have a few of these old S&B #4 s kicking around. Canadian Tire sold them as cheapies in the early 70s, and "cheep" they were. The old paper Imperials had 2 felt wads, smelled heavenly after firing, and were good performers.
The S&B's were not. I sectioned one, back in the day. The one piece "felt" wad seemed almost fluffy compared to the Imperials and the darned paper cases smelled vile after firing.
