Grand Power 9mm Q100 /who uses one/like or dislike

I don't have the GP K100 yet. First I started with her younger sibling, the GP K22S (22LR). It's a phenomenal small caliber pistol. Steel slide and internals. The best on the market. For comparison, I also own the GSG 1911 and the K22S I like more. It's very accurate at 20 yards. I'm sure that the GP K100 would be even better. I've watched a number of videos and read reviews on the K100 and found nothing negative. That's my next purchase if I replenish my coffers.

I hope to get the pistol before the end of the week, I like my glocks but time to try something different. :)

And for the benefit of everyone else who doesn't live in my back yard....

The Q100 is essentially a K100 with a striker fired system. If you like the handling of the K100, all that is different is the trigger.
The trigger looks like a Glock with the center mounted safety. The trigger weight is consistent from release of the safety until the striker release.
Even in dry fire, the trigger travel and weight is consistent.

Well, I don't have a Q and I do think this is Grand Powers first striker fired pistol modeled off the k100. I have no complaints about my k100, p1s or xtrim. I think you'll be happy with it.

If only someone could post a video comparing the Q100 trigger to the K100 trigger...

That way I would be sure I would buy one without handling it first.

I am hopeful it is very similar to the K100 SA which is amazing.

Picked it up this afternoon less than 24 hours from time of order. :) Disassembled easy enough but putting it back together is a bit of a beeatch. You tube videos next to none on the Q100 but tons on the K100 which is much different.

Anyone who knows the technology of both the pistol and video would be doing a kindness for guys like me and make demo video, I am sure it would be well viewed....

I know with the hammer guns you need to push down firmly when the slide has been pulled back to the sweet spot.... It will click in with a firm push and engage the rails. Barrel in the extended position.

The Q100 takes down and reassembles like the K100. Only difference is the captive recoil spring.

For reassembly, make sure the barrel is fully forward with the cam path visible.

The easiest method I've found reminds me of the "bull#### grip" taught for holding a revolver.

Use the middle finger of your weak hand to secure the gun through the trigger guard.
That places your index finger and thumb right at the take down lever where they need to be.
For support if required, brace the butt of the pistol into your belly.

Forgive the laptop video.
