grand power k1oo patrol or taurus 24/7

I bought the 24/7 on an impulse, and I would give my left nut up before this gun. It is head and shoulders above ANY polymer I have ever shot, it looks amazing, is built SO well, feels like an extiension of your arm and shoots amazing with ZERO flaws.

+1 for 24/7 - you will not be dissapointed :D

I've only handled and not shot a 24/7 but it was definately more comfortable in the hand {which is saying something} and the finish/cosmetics were far better than I've seen from Grand Power, but OTOH it doesn't have the K100's awesome trigger and is not going to have that recoil gutting effect of a rotary bbl action.

I just bought a Grand Power K100 Patrol model

After a great deal of research I decided it was an excellent choice.

I'm going to get the trigger pull adjusted a bit and add some high vis sights.

i can get de k100 for 495 and the taurus 24/7 at 599 money wise the k100 is interesting...............

It may come down to the kind of trigger you like to shoot. As far as DA/SA the k100 Mk.6 is hard to beat. I did notice a difference in pull between the Patrol and the Mk6. though. The Patrol was too heavy for me, but my Mk.6 is perfect. I don't know, however, if it's a model difference or a random factory difference.
Of note: I think that the k100 may be cheaper than the others because there are a few areas where I feel they cut some corners to keep the price down. Both guns I've owned have had some prefinish pitting and a slightly water marked finish. The slide release is ugly, but functional, and the safety lever is weak.
For the money the k100 is well worth it and it shoots exceptionally well. You will probably be happy with either choice.

oh well i think they are about the same quality pistol so i gues that for 100$ less ill go with the k100 patrol anny objetion before i pay the bill:cool:

I am presently wrestling with a CZ75 to try to make it shoot small groups. I have had the barrel replaced, and now I am going to experiment with handloads. Does the K100 locking barrel system hold the barrel in more rigid alignment than the Browning Hi-Powe and its clones, and shoot smaller groups? Could anyone who has one tell me what these pistols are capable of?

Well the barrel rotates instead of tilts, so if that is what you meant by holding in alignment...

Obviously, the most accurate design should be a fixed barrel. Since this is not made in higher power cartridges to my knowledge, my question is, does a rotating lock system such as the K100 hold the barrel more rigidly. When my CZ is locked up, the barrel can be moved in the bushing. I am having trouble getting acceptable accuracy from it. What kind of accuracy is acheived in the K100 pistols?

Here are 4 9mm fixed barrel pistols ranging in price from 229 bucks to 1600. Norinco M77B, Norinco NP20, Steyr GB and HK P7M8. All are superbly accurate.

Bushingless barrel's based on the browning design are very accurate. SIG's are very accurate. I'm sure that you could have an oversize bushing fit to your CZ by a gunsmith

If price is an issue, contact Marstar. They have reduced the price of their Grand Power pistols by $100. They may not have all models in stock any more.

I'd say if it's 9mm go for K100. Anything over 9mm, go with Taurus.

Anyway, I have K100 and 24/7 on my "list" and I'm going after them this year.
