I'd choose a Ruger or Browning Buckmark for reliability as a beginner in 22 as for the Grand Power I would look to other 9MM's like a CZ75 Shadow.. some of the reviews on Grand Power have not been positive that I have seen

I'm sure you can find non positive reviews on the CZ, like its super hard to get parts, slow warranty. I like my K100 MK7, Trigger SA/DA are just as good or even better than a CZ Shadow. Feels great, full ambi controls. Only thing I wish they did was go with a common sight cut. Its built solid.
You can get a K100, or Q100 way cheaper than a CZ75/85/SP01 or Shadow.
I had both a K100 MK7 and a K22....sold both. The K22 was very fussy about ammo and a bit of a jam-o-matic. I've always found pistols specifically designed for .22 to be better so I'd echo the suggestions of Ruger or Buck Mark.
The K100 was OK I guess but nothing outstanding.....although in fairness, I have since decided I am far more into steel frame guns over polymer for range use.
