My 7 Yr. old grandson and his 10 year old sister wanted to go to the range. I took my Ross Cadet I recently bought on EE and a box of .22 shorts. Dialed it in on the 25 yd. range with 4 shots (had oiled and run rear sight up and down to loosen). My granddaughter shot a 91 on the 25 Yd. timed and rapid fire pistol target and my grandson shot a 90 (with 2 extra shots allowed for the two that missed the centre patch target). They had a ball and so did Gramps. That little rifle is perfect for kids.

OMG. When those children grow up and find out about those dangerous exploding Ross rifles, they will be scarred for life. Imagine what the Psychiatrist will say about their Grandfather, whom they believed loved and cherished them, and had exposed those two innocents to such a dangerous device. What were you thinking?:)

Seriously, a good thing to do with the young ones, and even better with a classic rifle. The young people are our Legacy, the future shooters and recipients of our History, and we should teach and encourage them as much as we can.
