Graphite Lube on Triggers

Adjusted my Cooper 57M trigger to 400gr . and was wondering if anybody had experience with graphite lubricant on the sear/trigger ?

Mine is set at 1.2 pounds and I will leave it there.

One of the best trigger treatments is lighter fluid. Flood the trigger with lighter fluid and blow it off with air . . . now repeat and you are done.

There is just enough lubricant in lighter fluid to do the job without gumming up the trigger.

I would think graphite would be fine. Cold temperatures lube is a dry graphite.

If you feel compelled to add a lubricant to the trigger, dry moly powder is often recommended. Only very small amounts are needed and applied with a toothpick.

I wouldn't put any solid lube in my trigger. I had problems with remlube which I don't think is graphite but no solids in the trigger for me

Graphite is abrasive, messy and migrates everywhere, making a real nasty slurry when it comes into contact with oil.

I use Jet Lube 12/34 spray followed by compressed air. Never an issue with corrosion or gumming.
