GRB39 anti tank rifle

Nice!

One was for sale a few months ago at an auction in BC. And one on a website for sale a few months before that. Where did you get to see one? They are a neat adaptation of a poor AT gun.

if i recall correctly these guns were in a 8 mm diameter and used .318 diameter bullets and the 300 WM will used 308 so it will just make noise and .318 bullets are not common
But they are a cool single shot and yes the value will a lot less since it has been modified
Does it have the steel box on the side to hold the ammo and the dust cover over the action

Couple sold in AB a few years ago, lack of ammo is huge issue, and with it throat erosion is a huge issue. The 300WM conversion sounds interesting.

Doesn’t these rifles use the squeeze bore concept to increase velocity? I seem to recall a major long term issue with them is wear is heavily accelerated because of that

No. These are in Super 8mm. It is a 8mm bullet with tungsten core, but the casing is about triple the size of standard 8mm. 7.92x94mm
Apparently over 4000fps.

The ones he’s referring to, were converted to be grenade launchers. Using the 7.92x94 with a wooden bullet. The ammunition tins were removed and a special sight added.
