I was playing around with some 9mm loads and have come up with one heck of a nice 9mm round.

124gr. FMJ
7.8 grains Accurate #7
Any 9mm brass
Federal primer

I loaded up 100 rounds of this and shot it all last night through my Sig 228.

Perfect recoil and great accuracy.

Put all 100 rounds in one hole in the 10 ring @ 20 yards.

tried the same thing with a 124gr. LRN and had the same results, I prefer shooting FMJ or CMJ, but a friend gave me 2000 rounds of lead, so I might aswell use it as luck would have it, the load worked for both types of bullets, so no adjusting of the powder measurer.

Interesting! :)
Did you get an opportunity to chrono the load? I would guess that it would be around 950fps.
I've never been able to work up a decent 124gr load, so I'll try this one.

You may find that this load is a tad on the dirty side. AA#7 is a pretty slow powder for standard 9x19 loadings. I find that slower powders loaded to light pressure levels tend to burn with a lot of fouling.

Always nice to find an accuracy load.

I find any of the Accurate powders I use, #2 #5 and #7 are very clean powders.

Yup, I used to use #2 and # 5. Loaded hot, they were pretty clean burning.

My favourite was the Vihta Vouri N340. In the super, the only real sign the gun had been used was the brass fouling from the Montana Gold bullets.

I have been working up loads for the 9MM for IPSC and IDPA. To meet the 125 PF try 4gr Unique under 125 gr lead bullet. I tried the load in four different nines I own and got the following:
Firearm - CZ 85
Bullet Lyman 355402 125 gr Lead from wheelweights
Avg. Velocity 1038
Avg. Deviation 5
Coefficient of Variation .52%!
OAL 1.115
Sized .357

PF High Vel 131 Low Vel 130 Avg Vel 129

Load is very accurate and economical.

Take Care
