great day at the range :) (80yrds 795)

So brought my friend out to the range for some trigger time fun. We had the range to ourselves for 3hrs and made the most of it.

So after a little while of plinking away at 25yrds we decided to take the 22's over the the 80yrds. Both of us using iron sights and just as amused with the misses as the hits.

So the below pic is of the second volley of shots at 80yrds. First few shots were fire at a larger/different target to get an idea where to aim at this range. It wasnt attached to the paper at the time but 9/10 shots found the target, even if barely.

I was using a marlin 795 with tech sights and win bulk ammo, fired off a sandbag on a case and shouldered at the table. Had fired over 200 rnds without cleaning before this.

I've been very surprised and pleased with this rifle..

I hoping to sell a couple firearms so I can buy a xt22. .

I highly recommend it, the heavy barrel version especially. With bulk ammo I'm getting .75" groups at 50yds. Need to pick up some match ammo and see what it can really do.

Here's one of five clays that didn't shatter at the 100 yard mark, once I figured my holdover out it hit them repeatedly. Love this little bolt .22
