Thanks to everyone for the suggestions in another thread about where to shoot clay for the first time near Vancouver. I met up with the trap group on Sunday at PoCo. Excellent time! :dancingbanana:

Shot three rounds, just $5 per game. Perfect weather and good turnout. Not sure what it's usually like but most stations were full for most of the day on the 2 trap ranges.

Great bunch of people, super helpful for a newb like me, some even offering me their guns to try. Of course everyone had a friendly laugh at my little 12.5" gun but I shot three games with it and my best score was a 9 so for my first time out, I'm really pretty damn happy. I suppose I'm on the lookout for a 28"+ barrel now... :)

Thanks to all at PoCo and everyone here for their advice!

sunday was my first time out to poco as well. didnt do all that great though. usually when i go with friends out to the bush im on fire. i guess i was just a bit nervous having never done it in that kind of environment.
 
I was there too with my "new" old win1500 that I was trying to figure out how to use, and managed a 19! 2 better than my 870 pump( lifetime record lol!).I was wondering how your shorty(silver?, pistol grip) was working, looked challenging! Cheers see you in 2 weeks

Good scores, man. No, I was on the left range, black shorty, 12.5" barrel, full stock. I saw a silver one also, on the other range, with pistol grip and folding stock I think. Glad someone else was abusing themself with the additional recoil. :) As long as we're all having safe fun and improving and we're mostly smiling... then yee ha!

Yeah, I'll try to be there next time also.
