Had a B-Day this past week and the wife bougt me a digital camera. It is the pentax optio W20; it is water, dust and dirt proof, is the size of a thick credit card and still has high quality ability at 7 megapixels.

I had always talked about something like this as I hate lugging our larger cameras with me hunting and fishing and constantly worry about moisture. This seems to be a perfect solution you can snorkel with this thing for cripes sake and take pics underwater. It is small enough to fit in my breast pocket and light enough not to be a burden on packing trips. You can even get blood on it and just rinse it clean.

Considering the number of times I fall in the drink during the average fishing or hunting trip and the amount of hunting I do in the rain this should be a life saver. :D

I have other slr cameras for fine camera work but they just are to heavy and not rugged enough, this optio is all the camera I will ever need during a hunt and then some!

Good to know, my older Sony cybershot 3.2 mega pixel has served me well but she's getting a little long in the tooth. I will have to check the Pentax out. :)

Looks like a great camera, Wetcoaster

I'm guessing that there is audio recording with it in movie mode? I didn't see that mentioned in the specs. I know some cameras don't.

Happy belated B-day BTW :)

Yep audio mode!

I haven't tried all the features yet but I have a 1 gig card for it!:) It will be interesting to see how much video I can fit on. I wish the book for it had a coles notes it has a ton of features and I am not big on instruction manuals.:(

I also plan to use it as a viewer for a trail cam that I will be looking to purchase that I made another post about here in the hunting forum. After hunting with no camera for the last few years I am going high tech!
