As many of you know I went to South Africa last summer with my son on a Safari, we had a great time, shot all 14 animals in the package and a bonus trophy mountain reedbuck. Alot of you listened to me yap on endlessly about the planning of the trip for close to two years, anyway it is coming to an end.
Our trophies are with the shipper Safari Cargo in RSA, they sent me my updated quote for arifreight to Edmonton which had naturally gone up by about 40% over the two years since the estimate was given(there is also two extra trophies inthe crate) and they put me in touch with a company in Edmonton named SC Transportation to expedite them through customs and arrange shipping to Fort McMurray. This part of the process had been making me kind of nervous and the whole customs/arrival thing in Edmonton was a bit of a mystery to me.
Anyway, today I called SC and it turns out it is one woman named Serena Carleton who kind of by accident found herself running a one woman business exporting trophies form Canada all over the world and importing mostly form Africa for Canadian Hunters. She exports about 100 trophies all over the world and imports about 30 mostly form Africa each month.
ALL SHE DOES IS ARRANGE SHIPPING OF HUNT TROPHIES AROUND THE WORLD INTO AND OUT OF CANADA.
Serena reassured me that they were her trophies until she handed them over to me and she would treat them as such. When I was planning this trip I sure wish I had known about her, I couldn't find Canadian experts on anything to do with this process. Anyway I told her I would post her contact info here in case anyone needed her services.
