Great looking rifles. A shame they can't be used at the range any more. How long has that ATT for 12.2, 12.3 and 12.5 BS been in effect and will it be reinstated?

[hysterical laughter] HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA [/hysterical laughter]

It's been about 3 years now. When have you ever seen a Canadian gov't reduce or remove restrictions on it's subjects?

We have so very few such transferrable historical pieces left in Canada, why deactivate them for a few dollars more.

The law can always be changed but a deactivation is permanent & can never be put back in the sytem as live

Dewat? --- What blasphemy!!!-- Very Nice job on "Milsurps.com" fellows! How about pressuring the New & re-Elected to issue ATT's for these legally owned pieces of history?

For those who care to know, the guns in the article are still live and are grandfathered here in Canada.

While I have no say in the matter, I do hope they remain that way and don't get welded up.

I don;t know, but that isn't really relevant to the article. While Milsurps.com is based out of Canada, we have an international membership including some people who also collect "correct" condition dewats. Even if none were ownable in Canada, even as dewats, many of our foreign members will likely enjoy the information presented in this new entry :)

For the record, I wish we could go shoot them all! The reality is sometimes different though :(

Without a doubt, a great thread on those rifles.

Now, as a side note for 12.2, 12.3 and 12.5, What is the NFA and CSSA doing for us? Not Enough? Enough? Too Much?

And all of us as gun owners, what are YOU DOING???

As an owner ---written letters to MPs asking for a change to this idiotic unfair policy ---- & in the meantime , kept lots of oil on all of my 12 s'
