I've been corresponding with Anthony at Trade Ex over the past months about getting a new safety for my nearly new jc higgins model 50 in .270 as I didn't like the original 70 degree safety. This rifle belonged to my dad and after he passed away, it was handed to me. As I'm sure you can all appreciate, the gun has lots of fond memories for me. It has dad's name engraved on it as well as the date he purchased it, which was just before he married mom back in the early 50's. I recall when I was 5 or 6 years old and being really excited as I was able to handle the gun after he had shot a moose with it up in northern BC. Since the gun was purchased, dad said he didn't fire more than a box of shells through it so it's nearly new. I want to get a new bell/carlson stock for it and eventually pass it onto my oldest son.
Anyways, Anthony was great about keeping me updated via email as to when the part was in. After ordering it from him last week, I received the part in the mail within 5 working days and didn't get screwed on the shipping and handling charges as I was charged the actual shipping costs. Spent the last hour dicking around with putting the new safety on the rifle and found that everything now works as it should. So, am really pleased with Anthony at Trade-Ex as well as their products and service.
