I have a little 38 snubby made my Charter Arms. It has been a fun plinker for years.
On the last outing I noted it would sometimes misfire. I tried to stiffen the spring by adding a washer, but suffered the dreaded "ting".
So I sent this email to Charter Arms.
I have had this a long time and it has worked perfectly.
Recently it has misfired 2/5 and I see light strikes.
I took the hammer spring out and tried to fit a heavier spring, but the J frame springs I had are too small.
I tried to fit a washer under the spring, to increase power, but I slipped and the washer and end cap got launched, never to be found.
Can I buy a new hammer spring, with end-cap? Or a step heavier spring?
