Good day.
Need some advice, preferably a recommendation, or not, based on experience.
Job is relatively basic; epoxy bedding and free float on a Howa 1500 walnut. Haven't had any work done for quite some time now, so need an idea who the "reputable players" are, and more importantly, who to avoid.
PM if that works better for you.
Thanks everyone.

I've used Gary Flach in Langley, for bedding and barrel chambering. He has a good reputation and I was satisfied with his work. His turnaround time is good as well. His username is G.E.Flach on the board.

Never used him for bedding, but Barry at Bits of Pieces in Delta has always done good work for me at very reasonable prices. Turn around time is always longer than I want, but I think that's pretty standard these days.

I've recently had Peter at Rustywood Trading Co. in Mission do a bedding job and correct a magazine issue on a rifle. Also did some revolver work awhile ago. I'm happy with the results. A bedding job for a gunsmith is a routine job.

Barry does good work indeed but if you want things done in a timely fashion he might not be the best option. I had a spring made by him and he took 7 months to get it done...

Price was very reasonable though

agree with everybody about barry. quite often when i go there, his friend(s) are there but they do get out of the way and let us do business.
