Grech Outdoors

That is normal they don't want to talk to anyone much. I had a Savage they had of and on for going on 4 years the only way I could find out anything was through Savage.

John has helped me greatly when I goofed up head spacing a shilen barrel on a savage I put together. He also ticked me off with the next rifle I had done. Very good smith as was mentioned but he builds rifles one way, Johns way. I've had good and not so good experiences there.

I've been to the shop 3 times and left empty handed all 3 times simply because the guy wouldn't come to the front and serve me. On the last visit (couple years ago) He actually poked his head out and looked at me then returned to the back. The two other times he was yelling at people on the phone. I have enough unwanted drama in my life, Gretsch can keep their little hole-in-the-wall operation. My best wishes go out to anybody who HAS to deal with them!

last time I went I had the best service and had my gun back in under a week.

The chick that runs the counter was a bit cranky that day.

sucks to hear the negative talk. Like seeing his dawgs when I went there

Gretch. Worst warranty service provider in the country. The horror stories are impressive - pooched cz barrel from the factory, but "if you need a bore scope to see the problem its not covered by warranty"... Or the time they machined a mossberg bolt face to fix light strikes on a 22, which in turn lead to bad head space (and didn't even fix the problem...)

I fear the day I have to send warranty work their way...

Are they still in business? Their website is up although google says permanently closed and recent google review was from June 2023.
Looking to buy mossberg part from them.

Although I've been hearing horrible warranty service, would it still be the same for part purchase?

I emailed western gun parts and was told to contact wolverine supplies.
For 3 weeks and 1 follow-up email, only crickets...

So it's where I'm at now...@ Gretch..

he was still open in February, shop was a disaster, took a savage in to rebarrel...twice. Finally had to send out to bc to have it done right.

If it was me, I would phone Wolverine. Find someone above minion level to talk to and arrange for some email comms. if necessary. Small parts are a pain in ass for warranty providers but that's part of their job and they should help you out.
IMHO Wolverine Supplies is not the same level of service as when John was running it. Times and people change.
If that doesn't work call direct to Mossberg in Eagle Pass, Texas. If the front line people can't/won't help ask to speak to a manager and eventually they will help arrange you get what you need.
As far as John Grech and his potty mouthed old lady go, I personally wouldn't waste a minute of my time going down that road.

Unfortunately Henry uses Grech for any warranty work in Canada. I've heard enough horror stories to stay away, don't need the headache over a cheap gun.

I saw they were permanently closed so I emailed Henry hoping they finally read some reviews and decided to switch providers for anything warranty related. They said he's moving shop and to reach out to him mid October...
