Anyone ever use this stuff to reload Pistol Ammo (9mm)? .....see pic below.

I have 1lb of it and don't really want to waste it.

The company site has a recipe for 9mm ammo using 125gr FMJ and 147gr XTP, but I wanted opinions from some of you guys.

Thx!

Opinion on what? You answered your own question. You don't want to waste the powder and there is data available.

Get to the bench and start loading. Hurry up!:D

Opinion on quality of product, and I will start reloading as soon as my press and everything else arrives.

I use tons of Blue Dot. Works great, I wouldn't call it dirty. Goes bang.

I got part of a can of Green Dot given to me years ago. It went bang also and is long gone. While it may not be the best suited or most popular, if you don't want to waste it, shoot it for a plinking load.

Somebody's been making GreenDot for about a century, I can't see that happening if it was no good.
I've burned a few kegs of BlueDot and a few cans of RedDot; but no GreenDot yet.

Yeah, that's what I was a bit worried about. It's not a popular name, which is probably why it was so cheap.

Thanks guys....that's the info I was looking for.

Green Dot is a good powder for 9mm, but then it is good for 45ACP to even 38Spl. Have been using it since around late '70s & first was part of an 8 lb container & owner admitted it was old, but worked like a charm & same with the new containers of Green Dot. Obviously he kept it a sensible place basically temp around 60F is ideal for powders, primers & reloads to factory loads.

I use Green dot for my practice loads in the 40 S&W, with 200 gr. TMJ's. Works well shoots fairly clean and is 1/2 of what the Vit I shoot costs.
