Im having a hell of a time trying to find someone who has a GM 16" or 18" stainless fluted bull barrel that will ship to Canada. Seems like even all the big websites in the US are all sold out as well? Where have all the GM barrels gone?

I was reading on Rimfire Central that there was a guy/company that was cutting down and threading the longer ones for customers due to there not being any around. I don't know if he ships to Canada though. I have a 16" one and it shoots very well.

I guess that could be an option, although Id like my barrel to not be threaded. Is it the factory 16 or the cut version that you have?

R-dubb, did you try midway? They have quite a few GM barrel listings, but I never tried to order one. You might be better off to order one through a local gunsmith. A 16.5" fluted sporter is listed at $121 at shooters discount(who won't sell outside U.S.) and a local gunsmith quoted me $150. I doubt I could import one much cheaper, maybe someone can give us more insight? Good luck with your project!:D

But rimfire won't ship barrels to canada anymore... and their free shipping has changed...

Anyone have a list of US retailers who will still ship to Canada?

I know hawktech will, but they are a little light on GM barrels...

Try bitsofpieces.com They may be able to get you a GM barrel.

Other than that I am not aware of too many places that will be able to get you a barrel. Rimfire sports is no longer shipping barrels to Canada and I don't think Hawktech is either.

What is needed to take a Rimfire barrel over the line yourself, I mean if I were to get one shipped to my American address then bring it back?

Basically, unless you're american, it is illegal to be in possesion of any gun parts while you're in america. You cannot legally bring it across yourself.

If you can't find one in canada then the last option is to find a dealer in america who will export it for you. To do this you need to first get an import permit from the canadian government, then you send that to the dealer and they get an export permit. Then they send it to your door in canada. It's a bit of a hassle, and takes a few weeks (at least) but it's not too bad. I did it a couple years ago for a 20" SS fluted GM barrel. I ordered it from brownells, which wasn't the cheapest place, but it was easy.

I bought mine a few years ago from Hornet Products in the US.....not sure if he still ships to Canada though.

Hornet is out:

"We've had too many problems shipping to CA.
Missing, lost, broke, or didn't get there.
Does not happen anywhere else in the world we ship to, however.

Sales @ www.hornetproducts.com"

Do no CANADIAN gunshops carry these Green Mountain barrels blued, fluted, 20 inches? Does anyone have one personally they wish to part with????
