I'm new to the site, and I sure like what I see (lots of info). My question is, if I need a part for an old 22 passed down to me, do I need to join EE to somehow find the parts?

Welcome, you need access to EE to purchase items, but if you post the make, model number and what parts you are looking for I am sure someone can point you in the right direction. If you are not sure the part names check out Numrich, they might have a schematic and they have often have photos of the parts.

As suggested: to actually buy a part the EE is great.

A thread in the rimfire section might help. It's a good forum getting help identifying rifles, parts, or trouble shooting function. The more info, and imagery you can provide, the better your success rate of finding help.
