Hey all,
I've passed my PAL/RPAL, but am still waiting on processing. I have little experience with shooting firearms, however, I did grow up on .177cal pellet rifles, have shot 9mm pistols, 12ga shotgun, and .22lr at a local range over the years.
My plans are to purchase a CZ 858 as a low-cost target-practice rifle. I could go with an SKS instead, but it will all depend on which finish I like more. I'm also left-handed, so that will come into consideration. The SL8 is a possibility as well--I'll be hunting wild boars with a friend who has a lot of experience with firearms, and would like to mount a nice Eotech with 3x magnifier on a picatinny rail.
I figure keep the CZ 858 as stock as possible (I really like the appearance of its wood-resin), rather than dress it up with rails in order to mount the Eotech. Then, when my wallet allows, pick up the SL8 for mounting the sights. Sound like a good plan?
In any case, hello, and thanks for reading.
