Hello all, new guy here,
Not new to firearms but the new owner of a lightly used Beretta 92G Brigadier Elite 1A pistol.
Looking forward to learning from the collective group. I've been lurking around the forum for a couple days, reads like a pretty decent place with some like-minded individuals. I haven't shot in quite a while, grew up in the sticks, it was easy then.
Anyone familiar with this piece ? I would really like to hear some opinions, good and bad.

Thanks

Hello and welcome. You'll probably get better response to your Beretta question in the "Pistols and Revolvers" section. There are a lot of people who have them (I'm not one of them) and I'm sure they'll be happy to help. All I know about them is that Beretta makes good pistols, it's bigger than it needs to be, the gun is used by many nations' armies and police (not Canadian), and the locking system is similar to that of the old Walther P-3i8. There were reports of slide cracks near the breech in early guns that were fired a lot more than would occur in "normal" use, but that the situation was corrected by beefing up the slide at that point in later guns and there hasn't been any talk about it in years. Enjoy the site.
