Hello everyone,

Having been a member of this excellent and informative site for about a week I believe it's time for a brief introduction. I'm originally from Ulster but have become a proud Canadian since emigrating in 1989.
Our family has served with the British Forces since my grandfather was gassed in the trenches as part of the Ulster Division during WW1, through my MP uncle, WAAF and ATS aunts in WW2, to my RAF sister, who was with a Vulcan bomber squadron during the CUban missile crisis, and there was always a SMLE in our home until the 1960s (B Specials).
Given this history, it's no wonder that I've been fascinated by Lee Enfield rifles since I was a small child. It's only since becoming a Canadian that I've been able to own and shoot these wonderfully addictive firearms.
I do have one question that perhaps someone could answer; why is it that I can't hear more than eight bars of our National Anthem without having tears in my eyes?
Cheers, Dave.

I look forward to reading and sharing about the various firearms and how we care for them. I am more of a collector. I do not hunt ( never tried it other than going after the 'bad guys'.)

I own a Colt Python 6" and an SKS carbine(Russian). Currently I am looking to purchase a pistol to round out my ownership......not sure which way to go on that front.

Cheers
